My name is Katy, an expat Brit married to a Norwegian, living in Vestfold, Norway. This blog is my self-indulgent dumping ground for observations and comments on things that move and amaze me, both positively and negatively, roughly divided into places, pastimes, people and politics.
Speaking versions of four languages (English, Norwegian, French and German), plus a good deal of bad, my main interests are travel, cultures and people. Please feel free to comment here – feedback and debate always welcome.

Hi Katy-
I’m the editor of Expat Arrivals.com, a site devoted to developing comprehensive destination guides aimed at easing expat transition abroad. At the moment I’m sourcing expats who would be willing to be interviewed (via email questionnaire) about their unique experience abroad. Any chance you’d be keen? If so, please send me an email at stephanie@expatarrivals.com. Thanks again for your time and consideration.
Best-
Stephanie
Hi Stephanie, I have sent an email to the address you gave. Best regards, Katy
Hi Katy,
Congratulations again on being freshly pressed! I wondered if you’d be interested in being email interviewed for my blog, in the first in a series asking people about their language learning experiences?
I also wondered if you’d be interested in reviewing my (short!) eBook on language learning? If so, let me know and I can send you a copy. You can contact me via my blog or at languagetuition at gmail dot com.
Kind regards
Claire
Hi, thanks and yes to both questions – as long as I can have a bit of time to do it in. Will send you a mail with my email address this evening
